I often wander onto the Forever 21 website when I'm bored. I
never PLAN on making a purchase, but every now and then I succumb to the
trends and give in. I try to make as little online purchases as
possible because I usually end up buying items that I THINK/WISH will
look good on me, and when the package arrives, I end up returning half
the items and never wearing the other half. There's really no point in
explaining why I keep doing this to myself, but maybe I just have a
shopping problem...
So, I just received my package about 15 minutes ago, and I am so
excited about the items this time. Everything was exactly the way I
imagined it to be, and quality is not bad, either. I've copied and pasted my confirmation email since the website is currently down for construction. I'm almost positive all items are still in stock because I literally made this order 4 days ago!!
Black Wedge Booties: I've been looking for these black suede wedge booties since last winter and never found the right ones for the right price. Too tall, too expensive, or too uncomfortable. These Forever 21 are the right price for $22.80 and have exactly the look I had been looking for: perfect almond toe with the 3.5 inch height. It's light, which can sometimes be good for a shoe, but I have to wear it out in order to decide if the quality lives up to its style.
The Peter Pan Collar: I first found a peter pan collared blouse from New Look last year and instantly fell in love with the style. It's becoming very trendy this year, so of course I buy into it. The white blouse is better quality than the pink one, but the pink one has black buttons all the way down the back which I love.
Pink Lace Corset: This is perfect for wearing bandage skirts. It's a classy and tasteful lace that doesn't look cheap, and it's the right length so that I don't have to tuck it in. I love the sweet heart neckline, but the only problem I have is the metal zipper on the back. I like that it goes all the way down, but I have sensitive skin, and I'm afraid the metal zipper will irritate my skin since there's no fabric between the zipper and your back.
The bow belt: I'm a sucker for bows; thankfully, since bows have been popping up everywhere, I've trained myself to only buy things with bows that I know I will actually wear a lot. I'm always looking for cheap belts that go around your waist. It just really gives an extra boost to your outfit. I don't have a black belt, and I really like the bow detail, so I thought for $4.80, you can't go wrong. I'm surprised by the quality, actually. The bow is actually very hard and sturdy. It looks expensive, but only time will tell if it will rust. The fake leather is cheap as expected, but not so cheap that it will rip or scratch easily. The belt is a bit misshaped from the packaging but nothing that can't be fixed after wearing it once.
The plain white shirt is something I've been looking for as well but haven't found one with the right amount of stretch. You will be surprised at how many different T-shirts you can find that are too tight or too loose. This one is a bit more sheer than I'd like, but it just requires a nude bra. I like the length of it, and for $4.80, you can't beat it!
